#72 Hacking FScript & Pick&Play…

For some (most?) of you this video might be boring as hell, but for a programmer, it’s very much like remembering it’s first girlfriend ;-) Watch closely, as my buddy Jason Harris tries to hack F Script Anywhere to get into Pick&Play. Note that Philippe Mougin & @0xced were busy trying the same kind of thing… This was probably one of the coolest moment of the Conference.

We met with Don back in Jan. ’07 at Macworld San Francisco. Don is one of the few (very few…) Podcasters who can make a living out of it. Obviously, not using the (non existing) Adverstising Model, but the (for some people working) subscriber model. It was a pleasure to have a chat with a “non developer” feeling on “its own” ;-) See you soon, Don!

I guess pretty much everybody at the NSConference was blown away by Mike’s Talk. He’s very entertaining and it was also a lot of fun to discuss about th @_ or @ twitter accounts ;-) The other very interesting thing is that he was probably one of the most “iPhone” oriented of the speakers, and for me, iPhone Dev, this is quite important! ;)

Scott and I have a lot in common. I was never a Mainframe programmer (luckily!) but I was a loooong time a Windows (or at least a Microsoft) programmer. It’s no wonder the guy is beloved by all the Mac developers. He gives so much love in the community, as he explains in the interview, that we all wish he’ll be around for the next 40 years or so ;) Well at least we are all waiting for the NSConference 2010!

I heard about Jason for the first time I think back in the MyDreamApp.com (site is down btw) days… We kept always in touch and it turns out we’ll even hang out in Yosemite together with Ken@eCamm and Zhares (the cameraman) just after WWDC. Jason lives in Barcelona and explains how he was, just like me, impressed by the quality of the sessions, even though he was mainly coming to meet with his fellow developers as he says…
