Writing vs. Typing

As a follow up to our discussion in the 24 hour Pomcast (in french), I just stumbled upon this :

Writing vs. Typing: “I’ve been doing a lot of program/api design work lately in my favorite medium, a blue col-erase pencil + paper. Usually I use tiny ruled graph paper, but I’ve run out of it and there are all these empty sketchbooks laying around… So anyway, I’ve noticed that I’m way faster at typing than I ever was at writing. Which annoyed me at first but then I realized that this slowdown actually gave me a little bit more time to think before commiting my thoughts down. My thoughts always change when I’m writing, but now they get more time to change and maybe become clearer. Maybe? Possibly? It’s a good thing, right? +1 for traditional media?”

Ground Floor & RegistrationMy lucky friend Gernot is already in SF and he took some BRILLIANT pictures… Remember last year at Macworld Apple dropped the “Computer” from their name? Well, it seems they are now dropping the “Mac” from “Mac OS X”. Which could mean a loooot of things ;)

WWDC, here I come!

Yup. It breaks the bank, but I decided to do it again… I’ll be in sunny SF from June 7th to June 15th, just for the WWDC. Right now I pay all by myself, so if you either want to drop a euro via Paypal, buy a Mac (or a Dell screen), or even better, sponsor the event, go ahead!

Pomcast Hosting Services

Posted on May 5th, 2008 by StuFF mc.

We’d like to propose you something new: hosting as a mean of supporting Pomcast. We agreed with Hostinpeace (aka Vince from Pomcast but not only) to propose you their “normal” offer, but as we’ll invest together in the server(s) who’ll host the “Pomcast” clients, we’ll share revenues. We’re talking about 10 € without taxes (if you have a TVA number you won’t have to pay for it), for 20 GB of space, unlimited bandwith, a control panel to create as many E-mail address as you want and manage your account, unlimited emails (up to 20Gb of your account), unlimited MySql db, well, the big thing… If you pay for 5 months, we offer 6, and if you pay for 10, we’ll offer you the year. Once again, this is really a mean of supporting pomcast, while being assured of our expertise (mostly the one of Hostinpeace but we’re not bad at it in the meantime) in hosting.[/lang_en]

Reaction to Cocoia: SWISS INTERFACE SYNDROME

This is a reaction to this post from Sebastiaan (Help us make it big on Digg!), which, by the way, I interviewed in the last English Pomcast. After reading his post I posted a commented but his blog would take out the video ;-) So here is my comment, this time with the video.

Somebody please remind Steve Jobs what he said during its Commencement address in Standford in June ’05. Full transcript here. Watch this video (after the jump) at about 3’20″…

Dell Waranty Service: Thumbs Up!

Wow. There’s no other word coming out of my mouth when I think about what just happened with my Dell 2707WFP (look for it using the “StuFF mc (loves) Dell Monitors” link on the left…) being literally *replaced* for 1 USB port not working properly. It blows me away how the whole process was easy… Read on…

Hello World, my name is Aileen…

Aileen & NayeliIt might be that I’m a little less present in Pomcast for the next few days, as my second daughter just arrived on March 21st, at 2.21am.

Note that my 32nd birthday was the 22nd, so I had a *really* nice present.

And as you can see on the T-Shirt, she already knows who should win the elections in November in the US ;-)

To all you geeks out there: This is waaaaay better than unpacking any Mac, so go ahead, and PROcreate! ;)
