Just back from the Special Event in Cologne. It was all about Aperture 1.5, nothing else… Logic, Photokina… 30 min. presentaton, 30 min. demo… Photographers were “Wow!”, the rest were “Huh?”. Some new cool features, among which Offline Content (and previews), and some “finally done” features like integration with iLife (Oh my god, Aperture can do what iPhoto did !). Finally localized in French, German, and Japanese… More about that in any of the next podcasts…

Pomcast [lang_fr]a été invité à assister à l’événement spécial de la Photokina 2006 par Apple, lundi 25/09 à 16h30 à Cologne ! Par ailleurs, il semble que le public puisse y assister également, pour ceux que cela tente… Que pensez-vous d’un MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo[/lang_fr][lang_de]wurde von Apple zum Special Event bei der Photokina 2006, Montag, den 25.09. um 16h30 in Köln eingeladen ! Außerdem, nicht nur die Presse, auch kurzentschlossene Mac- und Apple-Fans können sich registrieren… Wie ware es mit einem MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo[/lang_de][lang_en]was invited by Apple to assist at the Special Event for the Photokina 2006, Monday Sept. 25th, at 4.30PM in Cologne ! This said, it seems that regular people can also register for the event, for those who’d like… What about a MacBook Pro Core 2 Duo[/lang_en] ?

Bug: When your iPhoto Library is on a network Volume, iPhoto says “error -36” and it stops synchronising photos, but also calendars and contacts ! People in Cupertino : there is something called “resuming after an error” in all respectable programming language ! :(

Nous organisons également la photo des iPod juste après celle des “powerbook”, alors préparez votre iPod (jusqu’a 2 par personne, comme les mains). I’ll try not to be mad at Apple, so I’m just gonna talk about facts… My MacBook has the known “sudden power off” problem… Impossible for me to export the video we turned this thursday (Sony, Belkin, XtremeMac, Lionel, …), since even copying the file to another machine doesn’t work :( I now have 2 solutions : Put the harddrive in another machine or re-encode the content of the DVs… None is ACCEPTABLE ! Come back sooner than expected for my MacBook at the factory… By the way, another problem is about the Hard Drive I can’t backup before sending it to Apple (for example the almost done Thursdays’s podcast), and as far as I know, there is no External 2.5″ SATA enclosure yet… We will continue to record content friday and saturday, but those podcasts will be only online next week… And now… a big Applause for Apple

[lang_fr]Nous somme arrivés il y a 2 h dans l’Apple Expo avec Vince et venons ENFIN de pouvoir uploader 1Pom :( On va donc seulement commencer à faire qlq interviews pour la vidéo… Le Stand Apple est effectivement très petit… En gros celui de la Mac Expo Cologne :( Cela dit, je trouve qu’il y a la place pour monter quelque chose vite fait cette nuit (une rangée en plus?), mais j’ai peu d’espoir… On a entendu dire qu’il y aurait peut etre le stream video retransmit, on verra, mais ce qui est certain c’est que NOUS on vous fera un stream de nos réactions à chaud… Vince va essayer de vous faire 2 ou 3 clichés et on uploadera ça l’après midi… La Vidéo du 1er jour et de la bouffe d’hier entre pomcasteurs sera online dés que possible ;) Comme Vista quoi ;) ;)[/lang_fr][lang_en]We’re here since 2 hours with Vince and we JUST uploaded the french 1Pom podcast :( We’ll now start doing interviews (in the french feed – some of them in English) at the booths… The Apple Booth is really small, approximately like at the Mac Expo Cologne :( This said, there is room enough to build quickly something this night, but I’m not hoping that a lot :( We’ve heard there will be the stream of the Event tonight, but whatever happens WE’ll be streaming (only in french, sorry) to give you our reactions… Vince will try to upload 2 or 3 pictures this afternoon… The video of the first day (and the dinner yesterday between pomcasters) will be online ASAP… just like Vista ;)[/lang_en]

The live recording of the French version of “Pom Pom Pom Pom” will take place on September the 16th, at 9 pm, at EPITA school. Even if you do not understand French, il should be fun, since there is also a MacLAN taking place in the same building.
