At the Pragma Conference in Bologna at the end of 2024 I met a new friend. Arkadius is an amazing Developer, and he’s also Blind. We both wanted to know what it is to wear an Apple Vision Pro and interact with visionOS when you can’t see. He has been using Apple devices with Assistive Technologies (mostly Voice Over, Siri, and Brail) since many years. At the time, my device was running visionOS 2.0 — Some of the bugs you’re about to see might be fixed by now. The beginning of this Video is me setting up the device in Guest Mode and then, what Arkadiusz experiences. This version of the website (this theme, specifically) was stuck with WP 2.7 and PHP 5.2 for 10 years. I know, it’s crazy. A few days ago, Vince (yup, still the same one!) made the big switch to WordPress 4.8.3 and PHP 7.0.18.

It seems that we didn’t break anything, besides some broken images that have been broken for years. If you see anything let us know.

By the way: This is an archive — don’t expect me to make Pomcast anytime soon actively :) That said, it’s great to finally have a current version of WordPress and benefit from its Backend! You don’t wanna know how broken the Admin was for years :-)
