#76 Cappuccino.org – 280 North

280 NorthThe first time I heard about Cappuccino (the framework, not the beverrage) it was at the Cocoa Heads at the Apple Store San Francisco during the WWDC ’08 week. At least that’s what I recall. I saw a very relax Francisco Tolmasky saying that he left Apple because there was nothing better he could have done there then working on the iPhone ;) He was, at that time, mainly speaking about 280 Slides but spoke a bit about the technology they created. I got interested in Cappuccino and Objective J and one year later I organized this Interview because I had been playing with Cappuccino myself. It could have been cool to have only one guy from 280North, but I insisted on having them all 3 on camera, and kept on switching who answers… Oh, and yes, BTW, we *do* speak about Atlas.

My good friend Romain recommended me to have a chat with Paul & Nafis, co-founders of HaveASec.com to let them explain me what they are all about. Turns out they have a very innovative way of grabing the feedback of your clients or user. Wether you have an iPhone/Android App or just have a Shop (or a Café, in this case), HaveASec is most probably something for you!

Who has’nt heard about “Tap Revenge”? It’s pretty much installed on every single iPhone out there and so when I planned my trip to San Francisco (and after having seen an amazing talk from Jess while she was at Apple) one of the first Interview I thought was Tapulous.

Check our tour of their offices (starting in the streets of Palo Alto, one of the nicest city I’ve ever been) and then the Interview with Jessica Kahn, director of Engineering at Tapulous.

Here’s the long version of what you’ll see at the beginning of the interviews I did in San Francisco. It’s also a good opportunity for you to see how I earn my money (and it’s not anymore with the podcast itself).

#73 NSConference Day 2

Here’s the second day summarized in one video. Among others, Graham Lee gave an interesting talk about Security and Bill Dudney about Core Animations. At the end we had a very nice way of ending a Conference (Apple should learn from that, the last day/hours of the WWDC are amazingly “boring”) with a “Cocoa Faceoff” between Americans and Europeans ;-) Thanks for this amazing Conference again, see you all in 2010! Actually see *some* of you already in 2 weeks, in San Francisco! Don’t forget to proudly wear your NSConference T-Shirt on the first Day (Keynote Day). Cheers!
